East Canton VS TCC Lady Saints Final score 51-49 Lady Saints took on East Canton last night away. It was a hard fought game for a whole 32 minutes. Lady Saints took the lead with a score of 12 - 8 in the first quarter with Ellen Norris and Angel McConnell hitting two big 3 pointers for us to secure the lead. Lady Saints went in at half time with a tied score of 20 - 20. Coming out in the 3rd quarter the Lady Saints came out strong defensively and offensively with a 15 point run to end the 3rd with a score of 35 - 33. Going into the 4th quarter the Lady Saints fought until the very end. The game was tied 49-49 with 48 seconds left on the clock. East Canton got the ball and was able to score taking the lead by 2. With 5 seconds left on the clock our Lady Saints did everything they could to try and get a bucket but fell short with an ending score of 51-49. #12 Nora Jackson cashed in 22 points and went 7 for 8 from the free throw line. #0 Ellen Norris had 12 points #22 Myia Olson has 12 points. We may not have a lot of wins, but we have a lot of personal victories and coming into TCC for my first year coaching I wouldn't change anything. I have a special group of girls and it takes a lot of heart and mental toughness to get through the basketball season. I know the whole community sees how much we improve everyday and every game. Taking a loss last night was hard, as a coach and a team. It's not easy losing close games, but we grew as a team and a family.
