Tuscarawas Central Catholic Varsity Lady Saints Walk It Off Against Buckeye Trail By GameChanger Media It came down to the wire on Tuesday, as Tuscarawas Central Catholic Varsity Lady Saints grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 6-5, over Buckeye Trail. The game was tied at five in the bottom of the eighth when Saniyah Weston doubled, scoring one run. Weston collected three hits in four at bats in the win. Weston doubled in the eighth inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the sixth inning. Buckeye Trail got on the board in the top of the first inning after E Ashby doubled, scoring two runs, and E Watson singled, scoring one run. In the bottom of the fourth inning, Tuscarawas Central Catholic Varsity Lady Saints went back into the lead after Miya Olson tripled down the right field line, Buckeye Trail committed an error, Ellen Norris tripled to center field, and Weston grounded out, each scoring one run. Buckeye Trail tied the game in the top of the fifth thanks to a single by A Mcvicker, and a ground out by Ashby. Tessa Williams earned the win for Tuscarawas Central Catholic Varsity Lady Saints. The starting pitcher allowed eight hits and five runs over eight innings, striking out seven and walking one. E Patterson took the loss for Buckeye Trail. The starting pitcher went seven and two-thirds innings, surrendering six runs (two earned) on 12 hits, striking out seven and walking none. Tuscarawas Central Catholic Varsity Lady Saints amassed 12 hits in the game. Norris and Jessica Selinsky each collected multiple hits for Tuscarawas Central Catholic Varsity Lady Saints. Tuscarawas Central Catholic Varsity Lady Saints were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Weston had the most chances in the field with 13. Ashby provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Buckeye Trail with three runs batted in. The third baseman went 1-for-4 on the day.
