Tuscarawas Central Catholic Varsity Saints Stymied By Strasburg-Franklin Varsity Tigers Tuscarawas Central Catholic Varsity Saints had trouble keeping up with Strasburg-Franklin Varsity Tigers in a 9-2 loss on Thursday. A double play put Tuscarawas Central Catholic Varsity Saints on the board in the top of the fourth. Strasburg-Franklin Varsity Tigers took the lead, 4-1, in the bottom of the fourth. Ellis Jackson (Sophomore) took the loss for Tuscarawas Central Catholic Varsity Saints. The pitcher went four and one-third strong innings, surrendering seven runs on four hits, striking out one and walking four. Freshmen Anthony Love and Nick Civiello were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for the Saints. Ellis Jackson stole three bases. TCC turned one double play in the game. The Saints welcome Sandy Valley Varsity Cardinals on Friday for their next game.
