Tuscarawas Central Catholic Varsity Saints Falls To Western Reserve Varsity Blue Devils Tuscarawas Central Catholic Saints fell to Western Reserve Varsity Blue Devils 4-3 on a frigid Saturday. Andrew Reiger (sophomore) opened the game for TCC. The starting pitcher allowed six hits and three runs (two earned) over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three. Freshmen Clayton Coolman and Anthony Love were outstanding pitching out of the bullpen, combing to throw 2.1 innings and allowing 1 run on 2 hits. Leadoff hitter Ellis Jackson (sophomore) led the Saints with two hits in four at bats. Love led with two runs batted in. Dylan Dumermuth (senior) added two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing six walks for the game. Jackson and Malaki Barker (junior) each stole multiple bases as the Saints stole five bases in the game. TCC will travel to Newcomerstown Varsity Trojans for their next game on Monday.
