BACK-TO-BACK: Elena Price Defends Regional 800m Title, Books Fourth Straight Trip to State CHILLICOTHE — Under a bright, hot sunny sky, senior Elena Price proved once again that she owns the regional stage. Price successfully defended her regional title in the girls' 800-meter run, crossing the finish line in a season-best time of 2:16.96 to secure the gold medal. The victory marks a perfect four-for-four milestone for the stellar senior. By punching her ticket to the state championships, Price has accomplished the rare and elite feat of qualifying for the state meet in all four years of her high school career. Price will cap off her historic senior season next Friday, June 5th, when she takes the track at the prestigious Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. The girls' 800-meter final is scheduled to fire off at 6:05 PM.
