TCC Volleyball Falls to Indian Valley in Five-Set Battle Tuscarawas Central Catholic battled Indian Valley in a back-and-forth varsity match Thursday night, but ultimately fell in five sets, 26-24, 16-25, 27-25, 23-25, 12-15. The Saints came out strong, taking the opening set 26-24 before Indian Valley answered in the second. TCC fought back to take a thrilling third set, 27-25, before IV evened the match in the fourth. The Saints battled until the end, but Indian Valley edged out TCC 15-12 in the deciding fifth set. TCC was led offensively by Miya Olson, who finished with 17 kills, 10 digs and 2 aces. Jessica Selinsky had another strong all-around performance, recording 37 assists, 21 digs, 3 aces and 3 kills. Kieran Fausel led the Saints defensively with 22 digs, while Ryann Walker added 9 kills and 19 digs. Elena Dodson contributed 9 kills, while Reese Knight finished with 7 kills, 10 digs and 1 ace. Suzanna Sica Calel added 17 digs, and Lucy Oberholzer chipped in 3 kills and 2 digs. The Saints finished with 48 team kills and showed plenty of fight throughout a match that came down to the final points. JV Results The JV Saints also battled Indian Valley, falling 1-2. TCC took the opening set 25-22 before Indian Valley won the next two sets 25-14 and 25-16.
