Saints Sweep Green in Varsity and JV Action Tuscarawas Central Catholic had a strong night on the court, with both the Varsity and JV Saints picking up victories over Green. The Varsity Saints earned an impressive straight-set sweep, winning 25-18, 25-21, 25-11. TCC put together a balanced performance with contributions throughout the lineup on both offense and defense. Miya Olson led the offense with 11 kills, while also making an impact defensively with 4 blocks and 8 digs. Reese Knight added 10 kills and an ace, giving the Saints another strong offensive option at the net. Elena Dodson contributed 5 kills, while Lucy Oberholzer added 2 kills and 3 blocks. Setter, Jessica Selinsky, directed the offense with 28 assists and added 2 aces, 8 digs and a block. Defensively, Kieran Fausel had a standout night with a team-high 18 digs, along with 2 aces and 4 assists. Ryann Walker added 13 digs, helping anchor the Saints’ backcourt. From the service line, Suzanna Sica-Calel recorded an ace and added 4 digs, while Katelyn Breehl contributed an ace. After battling through a competitive second set, the Saints pulled away in the third, dominating 25-11 to complete the sweep. The JV Saints also earned a straight-set victory, defeating Green 25-14, 25-15.   The Saints are right back in action tonight as they travel to rival Strasburg. JV begins at 5:30 p.m., with Varsity to follow. We would love to see plenty of Saints fans there to support the team!
