Saints Fall to Strasburg in Five-Set Battle Tuscarawas Central Catholic and Strasburg went the distance in a hard-fought five-set match, with the Saints coming up just short in the deciding set. TCC fell to Strasburg 22-25, 25-21, 20-25, 25-14, 10-15. The Saints twice battled back from a set down, including a strong fourth-set performance to force the deciding fifth set. Elena Dodson led the Saints offensively with 16 kills, while Reese Knight added 12 kills and 9 digs. Miya Olson finished with 9 kills, 18 digs, one ace and one block, and Jessica Selinsky contributed 4 kills, 40 assists, 10 digs and a team-high 5 aces. Defensively, Kieran Fausel had a big night in the back row, leading TCC with 28 digs while also adding 2 aces. Ryann Walker recorded 16 digs, and Suzanna Sica-Calel added 10 digs. Lucy Oberholzer finished with 3 digs and a block. The Saints’ JV team picked up a win in three sets. After dropping the opening set, TCC responded by winning the next two to complete the comeback victory. The team returns to action tonight on the road at Malvern for a conference matchup. JV begins at 5:30 p.m., with varsity to follow.
