In a hard-fought match filled with purpose beyond the scoreboard, TCC took on Newark Catholic in a Pink Out Game dedicated to raising awareness and funds for cancer treatment. Though TCC fell in four sets (24-26, 14-25, 25-20, 23-25), the team showed resilience supporting an important cause. TCC Player Highlights: Khloe Trivoli led the offensive charge with a powerful performance, recording 15 kills, 10 digs, and 3 blocks. Jess Selinsky controlled the tempo of the offense with 18 assists and contributed significantly on defense with 13 digs. Ryann Walker was a spark from the service line, tallying 5 aces along with 14 digs, giving her team key momentum shifts. Nora Jackson anchored the back row defense with 15 digs and added 2 blocks at the net. Miya Olson chipped in with 7 kills and 7 digs, providing consistent play on both ends of the court. Wynter Hayes and Suzanna Sica Calel added 6 digs and 3 digs respectively, while Bella Milburn contributed 2 blocks at the net. Despite dropping the first two sets, TCC rallied in the third, playing with energy and determination to force a fourth set. The final frame was a nail-biter, but Newark Catholic narrowly closed it out to seal the match. While the final result didn’t fall in TCC's favor, the event was a victory in spirit—raising money and awareness for the Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital Radiology Oncology Department. The program’s commitment to community service and support for those affected by cancer was on full display, both on and off the court. TCC returns to action on Tuesday as they travel to Buckeye Trail and look to build on this performance and carry the momentum forward into the remainder of their season.
