This Saturday, the TCC Cross Country Program competed in the OHSAA East District Championships — the first of two qualifying meets on the road to the State Championship. High School Girls Elena Price — 20:47 (6th / 59 runners) High School Boys Alex Mercier — 18:27 (14th / 70 runners) Steven Simpson — 20:07 (32nd / 70 runners) Collin Virag — 20:27 (37th / 70 runners) For the girls, the top six teams and next twelve individuals advanced. Although Elena placed 6th overall, she qualified as the fourth individual to move on. For the boys, the top four teams and next eight individuals advanced. Although Alex placed 14th overall, he qualified as the fifth individual to move on. As a result, the TCC Cross Country Program will send two athletes to the OHSAA Regional Championship next Saturday at Pickerington High School. This race concludes Collin and Steven’s 2025 season — a season marked by hard work, steady improvement, and commitment. While this chapter comes to a close for them, it caps off an excellent stretch of growth and competition. Great job to all who competed!
