Tuscarawas Central Catholic Saints stayed in it until the end, but Minerva pulled away late in a 3-1 victory on Saturday. The game was tied at one with Minerva batting in the bottom of the fifth when Jimmy Common doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Minerva pitchers struck out six, while Tuscarawas Central Catholic Saints sat down four.

Bailey McGinnis and Douglass each collected one hit to lead Tuscarawas Central Catholic Saints.

Minerva totaled eight hits. Hanley and Barnes all managed multiple hits for Minerva.
