The baseball dugouts got quite the makeover thanks to 2020 TCC graduate Matthew Mercier. Matthew successfully completed his Eagle Scout project by painting the baseball dugouts inside and out in one long hot day with the help of his family and friends. TCC Sports practices started June 1st per Phase 1 guidelines of the OHSAA. Phase 1 will be through June 14th. Small groups of individuals are able to perform skill drills in basketball, volleyball and football. Boys baseball and girls softball also resumed play. The TCC Baseball team has been hard at work at an indoor facility provided by the McGinnis family. Currently they are working on throwing and pitching mechanics with Justin Merryman.
Frittz McGinnis has been named the Head Baseball Coach of the Saints. Frittz, a New Philadelphia resident for the past 21 years, has been coaching various youth sports from a young age but has a passion for baseball. He grew up in Cincinnati going to and watching the Reds games during the ‘Big Red Machine’
